Ukraine Appeal at Hærvest – Celebrating Ukrainian Agricultural Traditions

Join Ukraine Appeal at the Hærvest - a community celebration marking the end of the Crop Circle project at Bradwell Windmill, organised by our partners, Milton Keynes Arts Centre. Admission is free.

At this event, Ukraine Appeal will present Ukrainian agricultural traditions, sharing the rich cultural heritage connected to wheat, harvest rituals, and seasonal customs. One of the central objects of our presentation will be the didukh – a traditional Ukrainian harvest symbol made from the first or last sheaf of wheat, representing family, memory, and the continuity of life. The didukh will be displayed as a key cultural element within the event’s Harvest Table.

The event is organised by Milton Keynes Arts Centre as part of the Bradwell Windmill Project, led by Milton Keynes City Council. Visitors will enjoy traditional harvest dancing, live music, artist‑led activities, games, and a parade of Harvest crowns.
