Supporting Ohmatdyt: How Our Community Turned Compassion Into Action
As the year drew to a close, the Ukraine Appeal team came together for a special charitable event — a festive performance of “Andriyivski Vechornytsi”, created in partnership with Chornobrova ArtLab.
We decided to donate all funds raised from the event to Ohmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv — the largest children’s hospital in Ukraine, which was heavily damaged by a Russian missile strike on 8 July 2024. The attack affected 627 child patients and around 1,000 hospital staff, leaving the hospital in urgent need of support.
In addition to the event fundraising, we launched an emergency appeal to help finance the cause. Thanks to the generosity of our community, a total of £500 was directed to Ohmatdyt. According to the hospital’s request, these funds were used to purchase essential medications, which have now been delivered.
Our trusted partners, the All‑Ukrainian Association “Patriot”, supported us by purchasing and delivering the medication directly to the hospital.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported this cause and responded to our appeal. Your kindness became part of something truly meaningful for children in need.
A special thank‑you goes to Chornobrova ArtLab for creating and staging the performance that made this fundraising possible.
Support Ukraine Appeal projects and share your ideas for future initiatives! Together, we can do even more 💙💛
