As part of Heritage Open Days 2026, Ukraine Appeal invites you to unwind, reset, and discover the calming power of clay at our special workshop “Stressed at Work? Blame the Clay!” hosted at KeKo Club in Newport Pagnell.
This welcoming drop‑in experience invites visitors to pause, unwind and reconnect through 15‑minute pottery wheel tasters guided by Kateryna at KeKo Club. Inspired by the idea of “therapy through pottery”, the session focuses not on producing perfect ceramics, but on creativity, mindfulness, experimentation and fun.
Throughout the event, visitors can enjoy relaxed, hands‑on wheel sessions in a light‑hearted and supportive atmosphere. No previous experience is needed. Working with clay offers a unique sensory and grounding experience that helps people slow down, step away from everyday pressures, and reconnect with themselves through touch, movement and artistic expression.
Participants will also have the chance to explore traditional ceramic techniques and heritage crafts that continue to connect communities across generations.
With a maximum of five participants, each session provides a relaxed, supportive environment where you can try something new and enjoy a peaceful break from the everyday rush.
