Join Ukraine Appeal for Reconnect to You, a gentle creative journaling session inspired by the wellbeing course “Telling My Story”. This in‑person Heritage Open Days event invites visitors to explore reflection, creativity and personal storytelling as meaningful tools for self‑expression, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
About the Session
“Reconnect to You” offers an accessible introduction to the ideas explored in the six‑week wellbeing programme Telling My Story. Centred around the Reconnect to You journal, the session guides participants through simple creative exercises using writing, drawing and reflective prompts. These activities encourage visitors to pause, reconnect with everyday memories, and explore their personal stories in a calm, welcoming environment.
The journal was developed as part of a wider creative recovery programme supporting individuals affected by trauma, displacement, isolation and major life changes — including refugees rebuilding their lives and sense of identity in new communities. This Heritage Open Days session highlights how creativity, storytelling and everyday experiences can support confidence, connection and hope.
Rather than focusing on clinical approaches, the workshop celebrates personal stories as part of our shared heritage. Participants will try selected exercises from the journal, contribute to a reflective group space, and discover how creativity can help us make sense of our experiences.
