The Ukrainian community of Milton Keynes proudly took part in the City of Code and Lights Festival 2024, a vibrant celebration of creativity, innovation, art, and technology. Pupils, parents, and teachers from the Ukrainian Saturday School “Sunflower”, together with Ukraine Appeal Charity, joined this inspiring citywide event.

One of the festival’s key themes was Sustainable AI Solutions for Environmental Challenges. To support this message, children from our Ukrainian school created light installations Star Lights, Red Viburnum, and a large Sunflower — the national symbol of Ukraine. These artworks highlighted the urgent global issue of bee population decline and the importance of protecting our natural environment. Every small action matters, and together we help safeguard the planet for future generations.
