Ukrainian children are excited to see FC Shakhtar Match at Stamford Bridge

Five pupils from the Sunflower Ukrainian Supplementary School have been given the exciting opportunity to attend the upcoming football match between FC Shakhtar Donetsk and AEK Athens FC on 14 October 2026 at Stamford Bridge, London.

The Union of Ukrainian Teachers in Great Britain has allocated 100 complimentary tickets to Ukrainian schools and educational centres across the UK, giving young Ukrainian football fans the chance to cheer on the legendary Ukrainian club, Shakhtar Donetsk.

Our pupils were thrilled to hear the news! For many of them, this will be their first time attending a major football match at a Premier League stadium. They are incredibly excited about the opportunity to support a Ukrainian team playing in London, and their enthusiasm has been infectious throughout the school.

Our pupils are looking forward to cheering on FC Shakhtar, celebrating Ukrainian spirit, and sharing an unforgettable evening together. 💙💛⚽
